DAY 1
YOUR AFRICAN ADVENTURE -
Begins when your transfer vehicle leaves you at a small camp on the Sabi Sands
Private Game Reserve. From here you will be met by your expert Ranger who will
transport you to your cosy tented camp deep in the African bush.
Upon arrival you will be met by the friendly camp staff, a hot cup of Tea or
Coffee, pick a tent and settle in. Relax and absorb the atmosphere that the
pioneers of old experienced many years ago.
At about 15h00 your Ranger will ask you for your sundowners drink order. At
16h00 you will depart on a exciting night drive on an open safari vehicle. With
the help of your Ranger and Tracker you will spot game until the sun begins to
set.
Finding a safe spot you will disembark and enjoy sundowners and snacks,
listening to the sounds of Africa while watching the splendour of the setting
sun.
The brilliant beam of the powerful spotlight opens the night revealing the
African bush and its nocturnal creatures as they go about there nightly
business. We take as much time to observe as needed.
About 19h30 we arrive back at camp to be greeted by glowing kerosene lamps and a
warm fire around which you will sit and tuck into a scrumptious bush dinner
prepared over
the hot coals. After dinner you relax and chat until the bed beckons.
DAY 2
The day begins with an early wake up call, which is determined by the seasons
and prevailing weather.After Coffee, Tea & Rusks your Ranger will brief you
on trail etiquette and then you will set out on a thrilling early morning walk
of between 2½ to 3½ hours exploring the early morning bush and learning about
creatures big and small.
On returning to camp a delicious brunch prepared by the camp chef will be served
pending the duration of the morning activities.After brunch you will be
transported back to Umkumbe Lodge where you will be collected by your transfer
vehicle which will take you to your next destination.

Very important to bring along:
· Wear neutral colored clothing.
· Comfortable walking shoes.
· Sun block or sunscreen.
· Insect repellent for ticks.
· Any special medication needed, for instance allergies.
